Ireland 2010 was an unforgettable trip. Of course, all of my mother's "Journeys of the soul" are completely incredible. We take classes of about 15 to countries all over the world, reviving our own creativity and inspiring others.

Slight disclaimer: My sensor was REALLY dirty in some of these images because I didn't have a cleaning kit with me and I posted these images with the bit of stuff in the corner because I really didn't feel like cloning it out of them. All of the images are my own (except the ones I'm in, obviously) with minimal editing.

Momma and I sharing lunch on Inisheer, one of the three Aran Islands.

One of the sweetest women I have ever met. We enjoyed tea at her house and visited an ancient graveyard afterward.

I REALLY miss my hair. A close friend of mine gave me the nickname "mermaid hair"...

This is a historic photo. Here we have my first Guinness in Ireland.

Along with that first-ever Guinness? The best wings I have ever had, to this very day.

Outside of the first Abbey we visited (St. Mary's) was a gorgeous old place, with a small graveyard outside. I can't describe how it felt walking around in that place.

I may or may not have had to squeeze between some bars and a few "no trespassing" signs to get to my secret meadow, but nothing less than an armed guard could have kept me from exploring this place. The wind over the old stone silenced any sounds from the nearby town, and a deep sense of calm washed over me. I don't know how long I sat and meditated in that tiny field, but I will never forget the peace I felt in that place.
